StickWire

StickWire is a mailing list for discussing the Stick and related topics. The list is low-traffic, averaging about eight posts a day.

The StickWire web site provides searchable archives for the list going back to August 1999. You can use the web site to subscribe, unsubscribe, and manage personal settings such as whether to receive daily digests instead of individual emails.

Posters will often add the word "teflon" in the subject line when posting about non-Stick related subjects.

Email Commands

In addition to using the web interface, you can send commands to the mailing list software via email. To do this you send an email to listserv@home.ease.lsoft.com with commands in your message body (not the subject). Here are some useful commands that you can use with the Stickwire listserver.

If you want to turn off Stickwire for a few days (while you are on vacation), send an email to listserv@home.ease.lsoft.com with just the following line as the message body (*not* the subject):

SET STICKWIRE-L NOMAIL

When you return, send a message to the same address with just the line:

SET STICKWIRE-L MAIL

Some other useful commands:

SUBSCRIBE STICKWIRE-L

SIGNOFF STICKWIRE-L
